As a youth, he could remember the excitement when he and his father would settle into their boat on Lake Nottely and cast their lines into the placid waters below. Ultimately, it inspired him to pass on those old fashion values to his own sons as he took them fishing on the same lake he and his father used to frequent. That family tradition became more than just a camping trip; it became a right of passage.

Born and raised in Blairsville, there's nothing Steve and his wife Carla enjoy more than sharing the majestic beauty of the area with their two sons, Ralston and Sawyer. Over the years, the values Steve learned early on have built the foundation on which they live their lives today. In addition to mentoring his own boys, Steve also participates in the church teaching Sunday school. And although the community they live in has certainly grown far beyond the size it was when he was younger, Steve still strives to reach out and stay connected with all his neighbors.
